Latest Examination Pattern
In National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET), as per latest pattern of NTA, on Pen-Paper mode system, there are 200 questions of Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology (50, questions in each subject, divided in Section (A)-35, Section (B)-15 questions). Students are supposed to attempt all 35 questions of section-A and any 10 questions from section - B in each subject, thus total 45 questions in each subject and all questions carry 4 marks.
Why focus more on Biology (Botany & Zoology)?
Biology should not be considered a single subject like Physics and Chemistry, Biology itself includes two subjects-Botany and Zoology. In NEET there are 200 questions of Physics, Chemistry, Zoology & Botany (50 questions of each subject) half of the questions i.e. 100 questions from Biology (Botany & Zoology in which only 90 questions have to be attempted) carrying 360 marks. So with conceptual clarity and minimum efforts, maximum can be scored. During the preparation of merit list of Entrance Examination, marks of Biology (Botany & Zoology) are considered first. For SC/ST category students when cut-off is comparatively low, the subject Biology (Botany & Zoology) appears as boon.
